Get your news with the top 7 web based news aggregators
One thing is for certain - there are a lot of sources for news on the web and it could take a long time to look even at your favorite ones if you go through them one at a time. Since time is so precious, people have come up with all kinds of ways to condense information and make it easier to get to what you want fast.
One option would be to use social news sites such as digg.com or reddit.com where news stories and articles make the front page based on votes from the site’s members.
Another option would be to use RSS news aggregators, either as desktop applications or web based. I’ll probably mention these in more detail in a later post.
Right now, I’d like to present another category of news aggregators - web sites that present news stories from various sources under one common interface but without really requiring you to worry about RSS feeds, subscriptions and other such concepts that can make RSS news aggregators a bit daunting sometimes.
These web based news aggregators are a great way to quickly take a snapshot of the current news situation without really having to worry about the technical details.
